Brad must be doing stuff right, because there are always great players coming out just to play with the house band. Steve on harp chips in on this one.

Openning set, with the band.....featuring Keith Hallett and Jonnie Price on guitars. Peter Rioux on Keys.
No one on camera, during the 2nd set, but there's still the music on the stage and that's why they came.
Ross rocks Gordies Pub at the Scarecrow Anniversary with his performance, just awesome stuff. Peter Rioux on keys and 2nd guitar is the amazing Andrew Butler, wow. Pat Peltier on drums and Dave Cunningham on Bass. If you weren't there you missed alot. This is just the 1st of some clips coming.
We tried to web cast it but Fred-eZone doesn't have the bandwidth to handle it. Too bad...
The lighting sucks at Gordies, but we're here for the music anyway.
I've caught Karen at the Bearlys Sunday Jam a few times and this is another great performance. Head over to http://bearlys.bluestube.com for some more from that night.
This guy has become one of my favourite artists, I just love the vibe he has and the tone and delivery is a perfect fit. Where are these folks hiding?
Scarecrow video's a bit dark, but there are some just class act great performances, with guests like Keith Hallett, Ross Neilsen, Andrew Butler (ouch), and Bassmen like Dave Cunnigham and Pat Hawkes, with drumming from pat Peltier and Barry Hughes. peter Rious is the bands current keyboardist and wll what can you say, the kids just there...unbelievable, chris mercer a multi-instrumentalist played some keys tonight, some cool organ stuff, jonny price one of scarecrows guitarist , well you'll see some of the stuff he played.
BTW: .we (I) could use a little help when it's convienent. You don't need to go out of your way, I already owe a lifetime or two to others as is. But, if you think about it, mentioned on your facebook or myspace account anything about the artists, the venues or the sites, point your familiy, friends and acquaintences to the bearlys or bluestube sites.
Hey folks it's Scarecrow's 6th anniversary Monday April 14th. Good old Dave Beattie has done his best to contact everybody who has ever been a part of the band over the past 6 years and so far we have about 17 musicians that will be showing up to create yet another epic Scarecrow jam at Gordie's Pub next Monday night. So let's all get out there and just fuckin' have one
Check their website for the latest details, schedule and performance line up.
I caught Dave Beattie and Peter Rioux playing Hallelujah. They do such a great job, I thought some might like to hear and see it.
We've been streaming this clip on YOUtube, so here it is, where it belongs.

Bearlys House of Blues and Ribs, well known in Halifax, possibly even a good part of the maritimes, and now it's everyone's chance to tune in, to see the great blues performances that happen there every week.
LIVE Webcasting, The Sunday Jam, hosted by Brad Conrad and Thursday nights with Morgan Davis. maybe more stuff later and more venues.
Brad Conrad and his band are just spectactular with Brad and Matt Hebb on Guitar with a Rhythm section made up of Morrow Scott Brown on Bass and Gary Potts on drums.
I've been there many Sunday evenings and there are frequently some serious talented folks popping up, not to mention the band talent. trust me, these guys are really gooood!. But, this is a Jam and there's a few musical novices, once in a while, but that's all part of the fun., music is not a competition. Still, there are more serious players so there's always talent on stage, and great music. So if you get into Halifax, the best time is a Sunday when Monday is a holiday...
This is running on BlogTV.com, flash delivery , at no cost. You can click the title to jump to the show page, or watch from the embeded player when the shows being webcast.
Royalty wise, at present,, there is no mechanism in place to tariff royalties from the Net for SOCAN. Tariff 22 is on the way, and although it's something. I dont think it's any real solution to the economics of playing music.
Ideally, this could turn into a subscription service. Eventually everyone gets to pay a fair fee for the service and the majority of that money will go back to the show venue/production/royalties and the LIVE artists. At that time, the shows will be also offered on a podcast download basis. To start, we'll setup a podcast of a few clips of the jam activity. The podcast content will be at 1 Gig per hour in FLV.
BlogTV allows a Co-Host, so if you have an interest in the production, we can even give you camera control to assist in the evening production.
The archives can be found on the Bluesbooth page. Check it out.
